Make your own version¶
This skill depends on local details, so the site publishes a brief instead of one institute's skill.
Copy the brief and give it to your agent.
If your agent has a skill-creation skill, such as Anthropic's skill-creator, it will use it.
The agent asks you the questions under "Local details", builds the skill, and runs it once on the test case.
An agent that can read web pages can also fetch the brief itself from https://aiforscientists.eu/skills/travel-reimbursement/brief.md.

Build a skill for my own setting from this brief.
If you have a skill-creation skill or tool, use it.
Before you write anything, ask me each question under "Local details", one at a time.
Do not guess an answer; if I do not know one, leave a marked TODO in the skill.
Keep every rule under "Never" in the skill you write.
Write the check under "How to check the output" into the skill, so that it runs every time.
Then run the skill once on the test case and show me the result.
## Purpose
Fills in the travel reimbursement form from a folder of invoices and tickets.
## Inputs
- One folder per trip with invoices, tickets and receipts (PDF or photo).
- The trip's dates, destination and purpose.
- The approval or reference number of the trip request, if your institute issues one.
## Output
- The filled-in reimbursement form, in the format the institute accepts.
- A table of every receipt with date, amount, currency, category and the file it came from.
- A list of anything missing or unclear.
## Steps
1. Read every file in the trip folder and list each cost with its source file.
2. Convert foreign currencies with the rate the rules prescribe, and record the rate used.
3. Apply the per-diem and meal-deduction rules to the trip dates.
4. Fill in the form, field by field.
5. Compare the form totals with the receipt table.
6. Show the user the form, the receipt table and the list of open questions.
## Local details
1. Which reimbursement form does your institute use, and in which format (fillable PDF, web portal, spreadsheet)?
2. Where are the form and the travel rules stored, and may the agent read them?
3. Which per-diem, meal-deduction and currency-conversion rules apply?
4. Which personal and bank details go on every form, and where should the agent read them from?
5. Is a trip request or approval number required, and where is it found?
6. Who receives the form, and how is it submitted?
## Never
- Never submit or send the form; a person signs and submits it.
- Never invent a receipt, an amount or a date; mark gaps instead.
- Never send personal or bank details to any service the institute has not approved.
## How to check the output
The form totals match the sum of the receipt table, and every row in the table names its source file. A person signs and submits the form.
## Test case
A two-day trip with one train ticket, one hotel invoice and one receipt in a foreign currency. Check the per-diem, the conversion and the total by hand.
